SACRED PLANT CEREMONY
Indigenous Ceremonial Medicine
For the past 14 years, the Kinship Therapies’ co-founders, Danesh & Kopali, have been apprenticing with a renowned indigenous elder and healer in the Yagé medicine tradition from the Andean-Amazon region of Colombia. Our immersive ceremony retreats offer participants an opportunity to work deeply on patterns that need healing.
An immersive retreat offers a series of ceremonies along with time for rest & integration in a supportive and compassionate setting.
Hundreds of individuals have attended our retreats for personal healing and spiritual growth purposes. We also offer an ongoing dedicated cohort for persons in recovery, and their families, as one of our areas of specialized care.
Culture & Care
Our ceremonies are always guided by indigenous practitioners who have been initiated in our traditional lineage.
Trained therapists are also a central part of our team during retreats, offering support as needed. During a retreat, participants count on personalized care by our interdisciplinary team which includes our ceremony leaders, professional counselors, and other healing practitioners.
One of our core values is to uphold the true nature of the ceremonial space as a compassionate and inclusive setting in which we challenge systems of oppression. Please see our About page for full bios and background on our team including information about our lineage.

“Our programs are offered with a deep reverence for our Mother Earth and the indigenous lineages of ceremonial plants. We are deeply grateful for our ongoing apprenticeship with our teacher, Taita Juan Bautista Agreda Chindoy, and for this plant teacher. It’s an honor to provide care for those who seek this medicine with openness, humility and love”.
